The chloride salt of Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride is antibacterial fluoroquinolone antibiotic. By binding to and inhibiting DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV, moxifloxacin causes cell death in sensitive bacterial species.
- How does it work
Moxifloxacin belongs to a class of antibiotics known as fluoroquinolones. Infection-causing bacteria are killed by it. Colds, flu, and other viral infections do not respond to antibiotics such as moxifloxacin.

This antibiotic is used to treat bacterial infections like skin infections, abdominal (stomach) infections and pneumonia. Additionally, moxifloxacin is used to prevent and treat plague.
