About Econazole Nitrate

How does it work?

A skin condition called pityriasis (tinea versicolor) is also treated with this medication. This treats fungal infection that causes a darkening or lightening of the skin on the chest, arms, neck and legs. An azole antifungal, Econzole stops fungi from growing.

How to use:

Follow the directions on the label for the use of econazole. Follow your doctor's instructions regarding how often to take it and the amount to take. After cleaning the infected area and letting it dry, gently rub the medication in until the infection has mostly disappeared. You only need enough ointment to cover the affected areas.

Dosage of usage:

Apply econazole nitrate cream to the patient's affected areas once daily in cases of tinea pedis, tinea versicolor, tinea corporis and twice daily (morning and evening) in cases of cutaneous candidiasis.
