Applications Or where it is used:
Seaweed has been used commercially for recovering iodine for a long time. The process starts with drying and burning followed by leaching ash with water and removing sodium sulfate and sodium chloride by crystallization. By evaporating the water, the remaining solution is concentrated.
How to use:
A liquid form of iodine can be used topically for treating and preventing infections. Applied to mild cuts and scrapes, it kills bacteria. Newborn babies should not be treated with topical iodine. Additionally, it is not recommended for deep cuts, animal bites, or burns.
It is also possible to develop thyroid disorders and goiter due to excess iodine consumption. There are risks associated with too much iodine, such as thyroiditis and thyroid cancer. When very high levels of iodine are ingested, they may cause mouth, throat, and stomach burning.
Warnings and precautions while using this product :
Although the medicine is in a dropper bottle, it must be taken by mouth. This solution should not be used if it becomes brownish yellow. It is best to take the iodine with a full glass of water, fruit juice, milk, or broth.
