How does it work?

Pyrantel is classified as an anthelmintic, which makes the parasites immobile (paralyzed), allowing the body to rid itself of them naturally. Pinworm infections may be self-treated using Pyrantel.

How to use:

If your doctor has prescribed it, you can take it with or without food. As directed by your doctor, take this medication by mouth once per day. You may take it with milk or fruit juice. A laxative is not necessary with this medication.
