It is suitable for inhibition of various mammalian alkaline phosphatase. Tetramisole Hydrochloride is mainly used as a chemical intermediate in the production of a wide variety of compounds, such as amino acids, analgesics, antibiotics, antimalarial agents, antipyrine, aminopyrine, and vitamin B1. This compound is also used in the production of dyes, inks, lacquers, perfumes, plastics, and yellow paint pigments. Tetramisole Hydrochloride is a colorless liquid with a fruity odor. It is used in organic synthesis and in lacquers and paints. This compound is useful in chemotherapy of colorectal cancers, due to it's stimulation of IL-1 production.
