How Does It Work:

Meloxicam inhibits the effects of natural chemicals called cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes. Prostaglandins are made in the body by these enzymes. Inflammation and pain are caused by prostaglandins produced after injury or damage.

Manufacturing Process:

The raw meloxicam product reacts with potassium hydroxide or potassium carbonate, resulting in high purity meloxicam potassium salt monohydrate. A mineral or organic acid is then added to said salt to produce high-purity meloxicam.
